    
Hello. My name is Ludivine Ortega, the French Novo Nordisk Youth Panellist. I'm 20 years old and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 11 years old. I'm currently studying architecture and interior design at the University in Paris.
Can a vehicle advocating for awareness of a specific disease really have many visitors? That is the question that I made myself before entering the Changing Diabetes Bus.
I was very positively surprised to see that people did not stop themselves with their basic fear towards a disease which often requires injections. I was especially impressed that all visitors were curious to know how this disease appeared and how to look after it.
The Novo Nordisk crew offered all visitors a short oral test in order to give indications whether they were at risk or not of developing diabetes.
There were several roundtables gathering general practitioners, specialists and politicians. The two days spent on the Changing Diabetes Bus in Belgium enabled me to meet extremely open people supporting with heat the great ‘Unite for Diabetes’ project.
Diabetes starts to be taken seriously as a pandemic. It is now the turn for us, Youth Panellists, to support this campaign by showing that we are full of life and determined to changing things.
